DAY 1: ARRV COCHIN / MUNNAR

Arrive Cochin Airport. Meet and assist by our representative and straight away, drive to Munnar hill station (around 3½ hour's drive). On arrival check into a resort and rest of the day relax enjoying the scenic beauty. Overnight at Munnar.

DAY 2: MUNNAR

After breakfast, proceed for a full day sight seeing tour of Munnar. Visit the tea plantations, tea factory museum, waterfalls, Mattupetty Dam etc.

Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! Munnar has all these and more. The tea estates, hills, lakes and forests inside Munnar range exposes its beauty. There are about 30 tea plantations in and around Munnar.

DAY 3: MUNNAR / THEKKADY

After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (around 3 hour's drive). On arrival, check into hotel.

Afternoon, visit to spice plantations in Thekkady.

Thekkady, one of India's major wildlife sanctuaries, sprawled over an area of 777 sq.kms is rich in varied flora and fauna. It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations of tea, cardamom, pepper, cloves and cinnamon in the High Ranges and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

DAY 4: THEKKADY / COCHIN

Early morning, proceed for a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake. Wild elephants, boar, bisons are the main attraction here. The Sanctuary offers a lovely and comfortable way to see the wild animals during boat ride on the man made lake. It's the only Sanctuary of its kind in India, which provides an opportunity to photograph wild animals from the boats. The Mullaperiyar dam built across the Periyar River flooded the valley forming a large lake of 26 sq.kms.

Later, check out and drive back to Cochin (5 hours drive).

Exotic backwaters

DAY 1: COCHIN / KUMARAKOM

Arrive Cochin Airport. Meet and assist by our representative and straight away, drive to Kumarakom; the most fascinating backwater destination in Kerala (around 2 hrs drive).

On arrival, check into a beautiful Island Resort. Rest of the day relax near the backwaters. You can also avail Ayurvedic massages or rejuvenating therapies after consulting the In-house Ayurvedic Physician here at the resort.

Overnight at Kumarakom.

DAY 2: KUMARAKOM

Full day at leisure at the backwater resort. Overnight at Kumarakom.

DAY 3: KUMARAKOM / ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)

Morning hours free. At 12 noon, check out and board a traditional Kerala houseboat from the resort itself and cruise along the backwaters to Alleppey. During the cruise, the countryside offers a close look into an engaging rustic life. You can see skilled fishermen launching their cockshell boats, large flotillas of ducks waddling down to the water from thatched houses on the banks, women neck-deep in water, with their waist-length hair heaped in a crown, searching for fish with their feet and aimless cattle grazing in lush pastureland, where white lotuses lie here and there in small, low-lying pools. The personal chef on the houseboat will prepare delicious Kerala style cuisine for you on board. Overnight in houseboat.

DAY 4: ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT) / DEP COCHIN

After breakfast, around 9 AM, disembark the houseboat at Pallathuruthy Jetty near Alleppey and drive back to Cochin.

Wonders of Kerala

DAY 1: ARRV COCHIN

Arrive Cochin Airport. Meet and assist by our representative and transfer to your hotel (around 1 hour drive). Check in and relax. Overnight at Cochin.

DAY 2: COCHIN

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Cochin.

St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets are attractions in the Fort Cochin area. Walk through the "Heritage Zone"; the Fort Cochin area, where the Portuguese settled in the 16th century.

Later, visit the Palace of the Raja (Dutch Palace) and the Jewish Synagogue are situated in Mattancherry. Also the Jew Street; the area around the Synagogue which is a centre of spice trade and curio shops.

Overnight at Cochin.

DAY 3: COCHIN / MUNNAR

After breakfast check out and drive to Munnar, the misty hill station of tea gardens (around 3 ½ hrs drive). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Munnar.

DAY 4: MUNNAR

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Visit the tea plantations, tea factory museum, waterfalls, Mattupetty Dam etc. Set at an altitude of 6000ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. After breakfast disembark houseboat at Alleppey and drive to Kovalam (around 4 hour's drive). On arrival check into beach resort. Afternoon to relax on the beach. You can avail various Ayurvedic Rejuvenation treatment and massage on consultation with the resident Ayurvedic Physician here at the resort.

Overnight at Kovalam.

DAY 9: KOVALAM / KANYAKUMARI / KOVALAM

After breakfast drive to Kanyakumari (around 2 ½ hrs drive) for a day return trip.

The famous Vivekananda Rock memorial amidst the turbulent sea is major attraction. This grand memorial to the Great Indian Philosopher Swami Vivekananda is on one of the twin rocks jutting out from the sea about 200 meters offshore. Kumari Amman Temple: Picturesquely situated outlooking the shore, this temple and the nearby Ghat attract tourist from all over the world. Evening, watch the sunset and drive back to your resort. Overnight at Kovalam.

DAY 10: KOVALAM / DEP TRIVANDRUM

Check out in time to reach Trivandrum Airport to connect onward destination flight.

DAY 02: MUNNAR

Morning after a leisurely breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Places of interest are tea plantations, Mattupetty Dam, Eravikulam National Park etc. Eravikulam National Park: A sanctuary for the endangered mountain goat of South India, the Nilgiri Tahr, the Eravikulam National Park stands out for the stark beauty of its rolling grasslands and sholas, spread over 97 sq km in the Rajamalai hills. Anamudi, the highest peak (2695 m) south of the Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary in majestic pride. The slopes of the hills abound in all kinds of rare flora and fauna. The Atlas moth, the largest of its kind in the world, is a unique inhabitant of the park. Other rare species of fauna found here are the Nilgiri Langur, the lion-tailed macaque, leopards, tigers, etc.

DAY 03: MUNNAR / THEKKADY

Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Thekkady (around 3 hrs drive).

Thekkady, one of India's major wildlife sanctuaries, sprawled over an area of 777 sq.kms is rich in varied flora and fauna. It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations of tea, cardamom, pepper, cloves and cinnamon in the High Ranges and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

On arrival, check into your hotel. Afternoon proceed for a spice plantation tour with a naturalist. You can also enjoy Elephant ride here. Later visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to see the wildlife. Elephants, wild boar, bison are the main attraction here. Enjoy boating through Periyar Lake to see the wildlife.

Overnight at Thekkady.

DAY 04: THEKKADY / KUMARAKOM (HOUSEBOAT)

Morning after an early breakfast, check out and drive to Kumarakom (around 3½ hrs drive) By 1200 noon, board traditional Kerala houseboat and cruise along the serene backwaters to Alleppey.

During the cruise, the countryside offers a close look into an engaging rustic life. You can see skilled fishermen launching their cockshell boats, large flotillas of ducks waddling down to the water from thatched houses on the banks, women neck-deep in water, with their waist-length hair heaped in a crown, searching for fish with their feet and aimless cattle grazing in lush pastureland, where white lotuses lie here and there in small, low-lying pools. The personal chef on the houseboat will prepare delicious Kerala style cuisine for you on board. Evening, cruise up to sunset and then the houseboat will be anchored for night.

Morning after a brief cruise and breakfast, disembark houseboat at Pallathuruthy Jetty near Alleppey and drive to Cochin International Airport (around 2 ½ hrs drive) to board your onwards destination flight on time.
